Three fishermen have been rescued after their boat sank off the Isle of Skye.

The alarm was raised just after midnight by the crew on board the Northern Ireland registered vessel, the Vellee.

The Stornoway Coastguard helicopter airlifted the men to safety in the Minch off Neist Point, and the Barra lifeboat was also sent to the scene.

A spokesman for Stornoway Coastguard said the men were uninjured.
