Rise in average house price halts the property market decline

13 Mar 2013 09:40 NEW figures show the average house has risen in price by £1,000 which has temporarily put the breaks on the property market slide, according to analysts.  THE decline in house prices has slowed as the average cost has risen for the first time in six months, according to a report. The average property price in January was £141,866, up £1,028 from the previous month but still down from £145,880 in January 2012.
