Icy roads warning for motorists
4 February 2012 Last updated at 18:31 Motorists in Scotland have been warned to beware of icy roads after a night of sub-zero temperatures. The Met Office has issued amber "be prepared" warnings of ice for Grampian, Strathclyde, Tayside, Central, Fife, Lothian and Borders and the south-west. It warned of "widespread icy patches" across those regions. A yellow "be aware" warning has been issued for the Highlands and Western Isles. The weather is expected to improve throughout the day.
