Dozens of jobs lost at Highland haulage firm

The employees were made redundant with immediate effect when receivers were called in on Wednesday. A small number of staff have been retained in the meantime to assist the receivers. Two representatives from KPMG flew to the island earlier in the week and toured the firm’s premises on Caberfeidh Road in the Newton industrial belt in Stornoway. Numerous island businesses are believed to have outstanding cash owed by the firm.
