Job Description

 

Comhairle nan Eilean Siar directly manages several pre-school/childcare services and is recruiting Relief Nursery Key Workers, qualified and non-qualified, to cover staff absences. Successful candidates will have their names added to a relief bank and will be called to work as and when required.

You will assist the Nursery staff with planning a curriculum which supports and guides children’s all round learning and development, and planning and organising the play session taking into account the needs of every child.

The Individual

You must have proven childcare experience of working with young children and their families in an early years setting together with knowledge of child development and how children learn. 

In addition, you must already have a qualification that meets the requirements of the SSSC for Practitioners or a willingness to work towards such a qualification.
