Qualification Requirements

Diploma in Consumer Affairs or Diploma in Consumer and Trading Standards including the criminal Fair Trading and at least three other Fair Trading or Product Safety related elements, or equivalent qualification. Current full driving licence.


Job Specific Requirements

Experience of providing consumer and/or business advice to the public and of working in a Trading Standards Service in an enforcement role. Experience of enforcing Fair Trading, and Product Safety and/or Consumer Credit or age restricted sales legislation. Ability to interpret legislation, contracts and financial agreements and ability to lead and develop projects. See person specification for further details.
